A conversation about housing challenges
In May 2024, Casa Comunitaria de Recursos (CCR) organized a community conversation focused on the housing difficulties faced by members of the local Latino community.
The gathering brought together more than 60 people and featured guest presenters to discuss a topic that directly affects the stability and well-being of families.

Listening to our community’s needs
Access to stable housing is an important concern for many families. Housing-related difficulties can have consequences in different aspects of everyday life.
To address these concerns, CCR brought together residents and guest presenters in a space where they could share information and talk about the challenges facing the community.
The activity also kept the dialogue open about local needs and the importance of bringing relevant information to families.

More than 60 people participated
The attendance of more than 60 people reflected the community’s interest in having spaces to talk about housing-related difficulties.
These gatherings allow residents to raise concerns, learn different perspectives, and establish communication with people and organizations working on community issues.

Information and connections to move forward
As part of its work in Dutchess County, Casa Comunitaria de Recursos seeks to make information, organizations, and services that can guide families more accessible.
The housing conversation was part of that effort, offering a space to listen directly to residents and better understand their concerns.
For CCR, these activities help maintain contact with the community and identify topics about which it is important to continue sharing information.
